THE EXEMPTION FROM IMPORT DUTY ON THE IMPORT OF COMPONENT/SPARE PARTS
FOR THE SHIPPING AND SHIPPINGSERVICE INDUSTRY

THE REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE ON THE EXEMPTION FROM IMPORT DUTY ON THE IMPORT OF COMPONENT/SPARE PARTS FOR THE SHIPPING AND SHIPPING SERVICE INDUSTRY

Article 1

The import of components of machines, appliance as well as spare parts forr manufacturing, repairing and maintaining ships and floating structures other than cruiser ships and sport ships as stipulated in Attachment I to this regulation shall be exempt from import duty so that the final tariff of import duty becomes 0% (nil percent).

Article 2

The import of spare parts of ships and instruments for navigation and human safety as stipulated in Attachment II to this regulation shall be exempt from' import duty so that the final tariff of import duty becomes 0% (nil percent).

Article 3

(1) Applications for the exemption from import duty as meant in Article 1 shall be submitted to the Director General of Customs and Excise with a copy made available to the Director General of Transportation and Telematic Apparatuses, Ministry of Industry.

(2) Applications for the exemption from import duty as meant in Article 2 shall be submitted to the Director General of Customs and Excise with a copy made available to the Director General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation.

Article 4

The Director General of Customs and Excise on behalf of the Minister of Finance shall issue a decree of the Minister of Finance on the exemption from import duty as meant in Articles 1 and 2 by referring to the list of goods as well as specifications as stipulate in Attachments I and II to this regulation.

Article 5

The Director General of Customs and Excise shall be instructed to implement the provisions in this regulation.

Article 6

The regulation shall come into force as from the date of stipulation and be effective for 12 (twelve) months as from June 21,2006.

For public cognizance, the regulation shall be published by placing it in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
